Dr. Oscar Noel joined the Center for Spine and Orthopedics in August 2019. His specialties include sports medicine; arthroscopic surgery; joint replacement of the knee, hip and shoulder; hand surgery; general orthopedics; and orthopedic trauma care.
Dr. Noel completed medical school and an anatomy fellowship at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, CO. He went on to do research in St. Louis, MO, with Dr. Leo Whiteside, a world-renowned joint replacement surgeon. He completed his orthopedic surgery internship and residency at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis, MO, with orthopedic trauma experience at St. Louis University Hospital. He then undertook a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center/Mercy Health in Cincinnati, OH, under the guidance of another world-renowned knee surgeon, Dr. Frank Noyes. While in Ohio, he worked with the head physician of the Bengals NFL football team and provided on-field coverage for FC Cincinnati MLS Soccer.
Dr. Noel is the fourth orthopedic surgeon in his family, so he likes to say that orthopedics is in his DNA He takes pride in caring for his patients and believes in personalized care and shared decision making. He does his best to make patients feel comfortable and fully informed so that they can make the best decision possible. His Christian faith is an extremely important part of his life and an integral part of his practice philosophy: to always do what is right for the patient.
As a Colorado native, Dr. Noel is delighted to be back in his home state with his wife and their new daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, skiing, golfing, playing tennis, hunting, fishing, and hiking.
