Ann has been practicing exclusively in Family Law for most of her law career. She believes strongly that divorcing families should do everything they can to minimize the emotional fallout from divorce, so that the experience doesn’t cripple them or their children.
In addition to being a past-President of Gutterman Griffiths, now Griffiths Law PC, Ann has been responsible for heading the firm’s research and appellate work as well as overseeing the weekly training of new staff since joining in 2005.
Ann is currently serving her fourth term on the Family law Executive Council and edits the COBAR Family Law Newsletter. She is also a board member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (CO) as well as an active member of the Metropolitan Denver Interdisciplinary Committee, the Catholic Lawyer’s Guild and the Academy of Collaborative Practice. She is a previous co-chair of the board of the Colorado Collaborative Law Professionals. Ann has been on the Maria Droste Counseling Board of Directors for close to twenty years and was elected President of the Board last year.
Ann was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America© for 2018. She won the 2017 University of New Brunswick Alumni Award of Distinction, was named the 2015 “Ally of the Year” by Colorado GLBT Bar Association and her pioneering civil rights work also garnered her Law Week’s “Attorney of the Year” and a special recognition from the Colorado Lawyers Committee in 2014. She has been a Colorado Super Lawyer 2007, 2010-2017; Top 50 Women Lawyers and Top 100 Lawyers 2012 – 2017.
Ann has been published in multiple forums on divorce law including the Colorado Lawyer and the Colorado Business Magazine. She is a frequent presenter of continuing legal education programs for the CBA’s FLI, numerous AFCC conferences, the MDIC, and the IDC .
