John W. O’Dorisio, Jr. is managing and co-founding Equity Shareholder of Robinson Waters & O’Dorisio, P.C. in Denver, Colorado. As one of the firm’s most experienced corporate and real estate attorneys and Chair of the Real Estate Practice, he advises clients on high-stakes development, financing, leasing, and restructuring.
John counsels developers and lenders on complex commercial real estate transactions. He handles workouts, loan term renegotiation, modifications, and deeds in lieu of foreclosure. He also drafts and negotiates commercial and build-to-suit leases, as well as high-volume lease frameworks. His work covers all stages of real estate ventures from acquisition and financing to development, disposition, and dispute resolution.
With decades of experience, John guides major land-use and mixed-use developments, including large credit facility workouts and complex leasing. He regularly advises developers and lenders on strategic solutions in evolving markets.
John is active in real estate education, leading an interactive commercial office leasing lecture for M.S. candidates at the University of Denver’s Franklin L. Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management.
John earned his Bachelor of Science in Real Estate and Construction Management, cum laude, from the University of Denver and his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver College of Law. He is admitted to practice in the State of Colorado, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
