I’m a founding partner at Gendelman Klimas Edwards, Ltd., a Colorado law firm built on a foundation Where Family Is Everything. I represent clients in family law, probate, trust, and estate matters, helping individual, families, and children through some of the most challenging and consequential legal transitions of their lives.

I earned my B.A. in Economics and Political Science and Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado – Boulder. In 2015, I graduated from Colorado Law and began my legal career at a large Denver family law firm, gaining extensive experience in high-asset and high-conflict divorce matters, custody and parenting time disputes, and complex financial issues.

Over time, my practice expanded to include probate, estate planning, trust administration, and probate litigation — practice areas that often intersect with family law. Working on multidisciplinary teams handling estate planning, trust and estate administration, guardianships, and related legal matters, as they intersected with family law strengthened my ability to address legal problems with a comprehensive perspective.

My practice includes handling all aspects of divorce, legal separation, allocations of parental responsibilities, drafting and litigation concerning marital and premarital agreements, post-decree matters, probate litigation, estate and trust administration, and estate planning. As a gay man, husband, and parent myself, I work with many non-traditional and LGBTQ families, families formed through assistive reproductive technology, blended and multigenerational families, and other families with diverse and non-traditional structures.

My intention is to handle and resolve cases efficiently through thoughtful and skillful preparation and negotiation. My approach is to be efficient, pragmatic, and practical in achieving my client’s goals. This includes providing counsel to ensure that expectations are realistic and within the bounds of the law, as well as zealous advocacy in contested hearing. My approach blends legal precision with a strategic, client-centered perspective — guiding my clients through complex legal issues with clarity, advocacy, and respect for their families’ long-term well-being.
