Michael J. Rosenberg is widely recognized as one of Colorado’s premier insurance bad faith and insurance recovery attorneys. Based in Denver, his practice focuses on holding insurance companies accountable in high-stakes disputes involving insurance bad faith, catastrophic personal injury, and wrongful death.

Mr. Rosenberg brings a rare and powerful perspective to insurance litigation. After earning his law degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 1996—where he graduated in the top 5 percent of his class, served as Articles Editor of the Denver Law Journal, and was selected for the American Bar Association Trial Team—he clerked for the Honorable Steven C. Briggs of the Colorado Court of Appeals.

Early in his career, Mr. Rosenberg spent four years representing insurance companies, their insureds, and fidelity and surety carriers in complex matters involving professional liability, products liability, catastrophic injury, insurance coverage, and bad faith claims. That experience provided him with an in-depth understanding of how insurance companies evaluate risk, defend claims, and make litigation decisions.

For more than two decades, Mr. Rosenberg has dedicated his practice almost exclusively to representing policyholders and injured individuals, using his insider knowledge of the insurance industry to level the playing field for his clients. This background has proven invaluable in insurance recovery and bad faith litigation, allowing him to secure seven- and eight-figure recoveries in cases where insurers initially believed their exposure was minimal or nonexistent.

Mr. Rosenberg holds Martindale-Hubbell’s highest peer rating (AV) and has earned consistent recognition from his peers statewide. He has been named a Colorado Super Lawyers Top 100 Attorney for multiple years and was honored by Best Lawyers in America as “Lawyer of the Year – Litigation (Insurance)” in 2019.

A respected leader in Colorado’s legal community, Mr. Rosenberg previously served as President of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and has been a member of its Board of Directors since 2009. He has also served on the Board of Governors of the Colorado Bar Association and remains active in numerous professional organizations dedicated to advancing trial advocacy and protecting the rights of injured people.
